it's official!
I went down to DC today to review my official job offer. I signed it, so now I'm officially employed by the Organization of American States. My official start date is August 1! Woo hoo! I'm officially psyched! I finally feel like I didn't waste $40,000 on graduate school.
In knitting news, The Devil's Shawl has been moved to a spare needle until I can figure out what to do with it. I may try to very slowly and carefully unravel 8 rows and see if I can get it back on track. If that doesn't work, I'm going to have to frog it completely, and I know that will leave me a tangle of yarn (this lace weight yarn gets tangled if I look at it funny, I swear!), good for little else than a cat toy, so I hope it doesn't come to that.
