Sock knitting update, plus a summer KAL!
Wouldn't it be nice if, when I knew my mother-in-law would be visiting, or I had a big translation deadline--or, as happened this month, both--I planned ahead, writing and scheduling several blog posts to go up in my absence?
Yes. It would be nice.
Maybe next time.
My MIL is back home, my translation is done and I even got a pattern for Spring publication submitted on time, so life is settling back down. And just in time for the Holla Knits Summer KAL!
Join intrepid Holla Knits super woman Allyson for a Summer KAL starting August 10. Five Holla Knits patterns are included, and there are prizes for everyone who posts an FO by the end of the KAL, September 7! Plus, the eligible patterns are on sale through August 2.
As you can see, I've already finished my Beach House (better photos soon, I promise), so I'm planning to join the fun with Backbone. I love Allyson's colorblock version, so I need to dig through my stash and find some coordinating colors.
I've also been inspired by Commuter Knitter Jen to put some time in on the many, many pairs of socks I have on the needles, in order to clear them off for . . . more socks! I started by finishing up the first sock of this pair. The bad news is that none of the socks on my needles are second socks--they're all first socks, which means I really have a lot of work to do.
