Giveaway: Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima Fine

This week in the Ravelry chatter thread we're talking about warm weather yarns. I've searched for years for a cotton that didn't feel like knitting with rope, and have recently been delighted by Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima

I first used it for my Beach House last year, and picked it again for my, sadly languishing, Lady Bat. It doesn't feel like knitting with wool, but it's far softer and easier on the hands than other cottons I've tried. It's light and soft next to the skin, and you really can't beat the variety of colors.

Last week I completed a tee design for publication this summer using Ultra Pima Fine, the sport weight version. I overestimated how much yarn I would need, so I have 3 skeins--about 400 yards--leftover.

And I thought, hey, why don't I spread the cotton love and give them away! The winner will get 2 skeins in Coral and 1 in Natural. They'd be perfect for a light summer shrug, a baby sweater, or a market bag!

Would you like to win them? Just leave a comment below and tell me what you'd make with them! I'll pick a winner at random. Contest closes May 1 at midnight--don't delay! I'll announce the winner next week.

(And don't forget to stop by the chatter thread and share your thoughts on warm weather yarns--someone will win a free MediaPeruana Designs pattern!)

Good luck!
