It's Gift-a-Long Time! (Almost)

One of my favorite annual events is almost here—the Indie Design Gift-a-Long!

If you’re not familiar with this -a-long, you’re going to love it.

First, it kicks off with a huge sale. Hundreds of indie pattern designers each discount 10-20 of their patterns 25%! This year’s sale starts November 23 at 8pm EST and runs through November 29. Every participating designer will create a bundle of their sale patterns, and the Gift-a-Long organizers will also put together a giant bundle of all sale patterns that you can search. Use the code giftalong2018 at check out to save 25%, whether you buy 1 pattern or 20.
You can find my bundle right here—I’ve included lots of small projects for all your gift-giving needs, plus a few sweaters so you’ll be ready for some selfish knitting once the holidays are over! The sale is just the start of this event, though! Beginning November 23 at 8pm and running through midnight December 31, you’re invited to a giant knit- and crochet-a-long! Craft along with thousands of knitters and crocheters through the holiday season, play games and contests and win PRIZES! And no, you don’t have to use one of the patterns you just bought—you can use any paid pattern from any participating designer, so check your library!

This giant -a-long is a great way to relieve some of the stress of holiday crafting and get a little moral support from your fellow fiber artists. It’s also a popular time for the designers themselves to take a break from design work and knit some other designers’ patterns, so you’ll see them participating in the KAL/CAL threads too!
