Styling: Going Steady cardigan
Need a few ideas for styling your colorful new cardigan? I've put together four fun outfits for Going Steady to highlight ways to dress it up or down depending on your social calendar. (The colors may clash a bit here, since I've just got the one sample to show you, but you'll get the idea!)
Working at home, ready to plow through your to-do list? Get comfy in cropped sweatpants (honestly, I got a pair of these from Fabletics last week and they're amazing), fuzzy slippers and a casual tee. Don't forget your coffee!
Make your cardigan in team colors and you're ready for the next big game--even those baseball games can be chilly in the spring! Team shirt, go-with-everything Chucks and a snuggly coordinating scarf--Let's Go Os!
Going Steady is a chunky knit, but that doesn't mean you can't dress it up! A lacy top, feminine flats and structured bag, you're ready for brunch, coffee, wine tasting or basically any opportunity to leave the kids with dad and get OUT OF THE HOUSE!
Ok, this last one is more for fun, but maybe it will speak to you. As I was looking through the clothes on Polyvore, the 90s fashions were everywhere. I suddenly felt a pressing need to put on a Nirvana CD and don a threadbare flannel shirt. So if you're ready to relive the 90s, this look might work for you--ubiquitous babydoll dress, velvet choker and everyone's favorite, Docs!
You can find more details about each of these styles over on Polyvore. Don't forget to stop by Shalimar Yarns' website for the Enzo Aran update (last one of the season!) and grab some yarn for your own Going Steady. And definitely swing by their Ravelry group--they've put together some fun color palettes!
