Pattern Debut: Miraflores Cowlet
I took a few extra days to add a second size, and am now excited to announce that my latest design--the Miraflores cowlet--is now available!
Is it a cowl? Is it a capelet? It's a cowlet! Pull it down over your shoulders or wear it loosely around the neck, it's a versatile piece and an ideal light spring layer.
Miraflores is a worked upward from a simple scalloped edge and features alternating sections of diagonal lace and traveling stitches. The pattern includes 2 sizes.
My version--in the smaller size--is worked in a single skein of Dream in Color Jilly, a single ply, light fingering weight yarn that comes in an incredible selection of colors. It drapes beautifully, and is incredibly soft.
I took my cowlet out for a spin at the Homespun Yarn Party last weekend and got loads of compliments. In fact, I gave out a number of business cards to knitters looking to get their hands on the pattern!
