Sample Sale and Fundraiser for Puerto Rico

As a designer, I knit (or hire sample knitters to knit) a lot of things that end up going unused after the design is photographed and published. I wear my sweaters like crazy, but other accessories tend to be put aside and ultimately ignored. This makes me sad. Handknits need love!

So, it's time for a sample sale--and a fundraiser!

No doubt you've read about the terrible destruction in Puerto Rico--nearly the entire island is without electricity, parts of it are stilled flooded, 80% of their agriculture was completely destroyed, supplies are running low. It's an island in crisis and its people need our help.

50% of the proceeds from the sample sale will be donated to the Hispanic Federation's "Unidos" fund for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico.

This is a great chance to support a worthy cause and get your hands on some original handknits without lifting a needle! Or maybe people are always asking you to knit things for them, and you're not interested--send them over here! The sale includes shawls, hats, and other accessories as well as some kids knits. Everything is worked in wool or wool blend yarn and prices include domestic shipping within the US. (International shipping is available but shipping fees will be added to the total.)
