Fall's coming, let's go!

Summer is really winding down now--most of our tomatoes have been harvested, local schools are back in session, and the Orioles are busy throwing away their postseason chances. As usual, I'm pretty ready to bid summer a fond farewell.

Fall is MY season--changing leaves, cooler weather, sweaters, pumpkin everything, my birthday, RHINEBECK, our wedding anniversary, Halloween, Thanksgiving . . .

The only thing I'm less than excited about is football. I've always felt rather "meh" about football--too much standing around doing nothing, flags on every darn play, your home team only plays one game a week. It's no baseball.
