Knittin Little Winter 2015
Yesterday I shared my newest pattern, Catoctin, which debuted as part of the Knittin Little Winter 2015 Collection. Today I want to take a quick look at some of the other designs in this adorable set of cold weather knits for little ones.
The Winter 2015 Collection includes 6 (!) sweaters and 3 accessories to keep your kids warm this winter. And the vast majority are unisex designs that will look adorable on both boys and girls--very versatile! I'll just share a few of my favorites.
First, Kristen TenDyke's Growing Up Twisted. Garter stitch trim, cables, little baby pockets, and a seamless construction--everything I love! Knit in fingering weight yarn, it will make a light, warm layer for all seasons.
I love the texture in Ayako Monier's O-Sharay. Worked top down and knit in DK weight, it promises to be a quick knit. (Can I have one in my size?)
Speaking of things I will take in my size, the Clara sweater is such a darling, girly-but-not-too-girly pullover. The body is knit in nice warm worsted weight, and the ruffled trim in soft, airy lace. Sure to be a hit with all the little ladies.
Every time I visit The Knot House in Frederick, Maryland, I pick up and put down a skein of Magpie Fibers Rhinestone Cowboy colorway repeatedly, before finally abandoning it because I just don't know what to knit with it. No longer a problem. The sweet Hasu hat showcases it beautifully, in one of those rare cases where variegated color and textured stitches play well together.
