Pattern Debut: Guapa mittens
While I was busy finishing up Charm City Kids, Knit Picks was also busy putting together another one of their fabulous collections—I’m excited to share that my latest pattern, Guapa mittens, is now available in their new book Little Luxuries!
The Guapa mittens will make a cozy, luxurious addition to your winter and spring wardrobe. Knit in Paragon, the softest blend of merino, baby alpaca and silk, they’ll keep your hands warm until the weather thaws. (Bonus, Paragon is Knit Picks’ yarn-of-the-month, so it’s 20% off until the end of February!)
These mittens feature an expanding center panel on the front, shaped by simple cables and dotted with bow stitches. (Note: this cable and bow stitch panel is charted only.) The rest of the mitten is left plain, and with a straightforward construction, you’ll have them finished in no time.
Knit in sport weight yarn, they’re hefty enough to keep your fingers from freezing, but not so bulky that you’ll overheat—the perfect accessory as the winter (hopefully) winds down, but the air remains chilly through early spring.
You can grab this single pattern on the Knit Picks website for just $5, or queue it up on Ravelry. You can snag the whole Little Luxuries collection for $19.99 (ebook $14.99). I’ll be sharing a review of the whole collection, along with another new Knit Picks collection, Woodsmoke, next week—but if you love sweet accessories in the finest yarns, you’ll want to grab a copy!
