Pattern Debut: Chucheria
Yep, that's right--another pattern! I'm excited to be included in the latest Holla Knits Accessories Collection and here's my contribution: Chucheria.
Sometimes you want something understated--and sometimes you want just the opposite. This scarf has a lot going on, combining some of my favorite design elements: cables, stripes, and garter stitch. It knits up FAST in a chunky weight--I got another chance to work with my favorite Baltimore-based dyer, Neighborhood Fiber Co!--and is so toasty warm.
It starts from a provisional cast on, and uses elongated (double wrapped) stitches to easily pull the cables across the contrast stripes. Slipped stitches on either side give it a neat edge, and a quick Kitchener Stitch when you're done gives you an infinity scarf that can be worn long to show off the details or double wrapped for extra warmth.
You can hop over to the Holla Knits website to grab your copy and check out the rest of the collection (that poncho!). You can also show it some love over on Ravelry.
